01Who is responsible

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:

CLEEV
Höschgasse 62
8008 Zurich, Switzerland
Email: hello@cleev.ch
Phone: +41 76 762 44 48

02Scope

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, why we process it, and which rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

03Contact form and email

When you use our contact form, we process the information you provide: name, work email, company, phone number (optional), project type and your message. When you email us directly, we process your email address and the content of your message.

Enquiries from the contact form are sent by email to our mailbox hello@cleev.ch, and you receive an automatic email confirming that we have received your enquiry. We use this information only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare and carry out a collaboration. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

To protect the form against spam and abuse, submissions are checked automatically. For this purpose we briefly store technical data such as a pseudonymised (one-way encrypted) IP address and the time of the request; it is deleted automatically after no more than a few days. Your browser also performs a short, invisible security calculation — no cookies or third-party services are used for this.

Where the GDPR applies, we process this data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

04How long we keep your data

We keep enquiries only as long as necessary to answer them and handle any follow-up questions. If no business relationship results, we delete your enquiry no later than 12 months after our last contact with you.

If a business relationship results, we keep the related correspondence for the duration of that relationship and for as long as statutory retention obligations require. Under Swiss law, this is generally up to 10 years.

05AI assistant (Ask CLEEV)

The website offers an optional AI assistant that answers questions about CLEEV. If you use it, the questions you type and the conversation so far are sent to OpenAI to generate the answers. The assistant only answers from the content of this website. Please do not enter personal or confidential information.

We have configured the service so that conversations are not saved in OpenAI's response storage, and we do not store the conversations on our own server. So that you can continue a conversation during your visit, it is kept in your browser's session storage and deleted when you close the tab (or click “New conversation”). If you choose to send us your name, email address and a short summary from the chat (“Talk to a person”), these details and the chat conversation are sent to our mailbox by email and handled like an enquiry from the contact form (see above). According to OpenAI, data sent through its API is not used to train its models without consent. OpenAI may process the data outside Switzerland, including in the USA. To prevent abuse, we briefly keep technical counters with a pseudonymised (one-way encrypted) IP address, which are deleted automatically after no more than a few days.

Where the GDPR applies, we process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering visitors' questions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Using the assistant is voluntary; you can always contact us directly instead.

06Booking a call

We use Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., USA) for booking calls. The booking window opens on this website only when you click “Book a call”; until then, nothing is loaded from Cal.com. The details you enter (such as your name, email address, the chosen time and any notes) are processed by Cal.com and shared with us so that we can hold the call. Cal.com may process the data outside Switzerland, including in the USA, and may use cookies that are necessary for booking.

We use this data only to prepare and hold the call. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Cal.com's privacy policy also applies.

07Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., Cyprus, which processes data on our behalf as a service provider. When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed to deliver the pages and keep them secure: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type.

This log data is used only for operating and securing the website and is retained for a limited period. Cyprus is a member of the European Union, which Switzerland recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection.

08Cookies, analytics and fonts

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising tools. Fonts are delivered from our own server, so visiting the website does not send your data to Google or other font providers.

The website opens in German if your browser's preferred language is German, and in English otherwise. If you choose a language with the EN / DE switch, a small cookie (cleev_lang) remembers your choice for one year. It contains only “en” or “de”, is not used for any other purpose and can be deleted in your browser at any time.

09Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

10Your rights

You can ask us at any time which personal data we hold about you, and request that it be corrected or deleted. You may also object to processing and, where applicable, request restriction of processing or a copy of your data in a common format.

To exercise your rights, contact hello@cleev.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the EU, you may also contact the data protection authority in your country.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or our processing changes. The current version is always available on this page. If you have questions, please contact us.
